Vice President Joe Biden Angry at Bank of America for Debit Card Fee

When the Vice President of the United States calls you “tone deaf” you’re probably doing something extremely drastic.

A Bank of America rep told the attendants at the Washington Ideas Forum they will be adding a debit card fee to their transactions. The idea infuriated many people, especially Joe Biden.

Vice President Joe Biden said; “You can’t blame the American people for feeling an overwhelming sense of frustration at this moment, when they’re hanging on by their fingernails, and all of a sudden, [the banks] come along and say, ‘Okay, even though we’re going to make a healthy profit next year, we think we have to have this additional income coming in. At a minimum, they are incredibly tone deaf. At a minimum, they are not paying their fair share of the bargain here and middle class people are getting killed.”

I wonder what the Bank of America PR Firm has to say about that. Ouch, I’m sure those statements will have a negative impact on their public relations.
