The Exclusive Interview with Portia Broome

Celeb Promoter: What made you decide to model, & do you feel like the business has changed since you’ve started?

Portia Broome: I started doing eye candy modeling at 18. I was introduced to the idea while walking around in the club scene!!! I’d have promoters and photographers approaching me asking if I modeled and if not was I interested… So of course…I told myself why not!! I get to take some sexy pictures for fun!! who wouldnt!!! In regards to the industry…. yes I do think it has changed so many ways!!! Eye candy modeling has always been about sexy curvacious women but now it seems as though womens bodies are being altered so much that in all honesty when you see the model in person they look completely different!! with the modeling industry it seems like people are grasping the idea of …anything goes!! which in some cases i dont entertain!!

Celeb Promoter: How was your life in High School? Were you the popular type or the quiet type?

Portia Broome: In High School I was very known!!! I was the type of person that roamed around to different groups and kept good graces with mostly everyone!!! Of course like everyone I had the group of girls I hung out with…but all through out high school I was known for being the light skinned mixed girl that played sports (Soccer, Lacrosse, and ran track)

Celeb Promoter: Can you cook: whats your specialty? Can you dance, or do you leave the dancing up to the guy?

Portia Broome: Yes I can Cook a bit Mexican food !! my specialty and favorite is Ceviche!!! And when it comes to dancing I initiate the dance!!! I can dance to almost anything.

Celeb Promoter: Whats your ethnicity, and do you think skin color plays a role in who gets the most/highest paying jobs?

Portia Broome: My nationality is Black, Mexican, West indian. French, and Irish. At times I do think that light skin color plays a role in who get the best paying jobs… I wont say specifically what nationality I feel gets favored over others.. But I can say that every nationality does not get treated equally…!! example: if you submit a application to a Cooperate America job and your name is Desean Brown and another male submits their application with the name David Hilton… which both men have the same years of experience in that field… most likely David Hilton will get chosen!!! Its horrible but true..!!

Celeb Promoter: Have you done some music videos? & who do you want to work with that you haven’t worked with already?

Portia Broome: I recently just started getting interested in the music video scene!!! I just did a music video with Marquis Daniel (Q6 & 1090 blokk boyz- NIkki) !!! which should be coming out soon!!! But if I were to point out specific artist I’d love to work with!!! I’d work with Trey Songz (hes adorable), Usher, RickRoss, Lil’ Wayne, Jeremih, I love HipHop and R&B so anything along those lines I’m pretty open to do!!

Celeb Promoter: The fellas want to know: panties, thongs, boy shorts, or commando?

Portia Broome: Hell no to commando… ladies your dirty if you do that… I’m pretty laid back!! i love anything that’s cute and comfortable… So I’d most def chose Boy Shorts.!!

Celeb Promoter: What’s the best way for a guy to get your attention?

Portia Broome: Fellas If you want my attention I love roses!!! Any color is great but yellow roses are my Fav.

Celeb Promoter: Do you think a model needs a manager to be successful – Or do you feel like a model can do it all by herself?

Portia Broome: No i dont think models have to have a manager to be successful.. I feel its all up to the model and if shes a driven individual… The statement “Hard work pays off ” is very true… You get back what you put in…!!

Celeb Promoter: Which one would you rather watch: Lyfetime, Jersey Shore, or Sports?

Portia Broome: Thats a easy question…Of course I’d choose sports… I Love sports… There’s no better excitment then to watch two teams go head to head and battle it out to have one come out the winner!! <3 Lakers all the way baby!!! I love Basketball but I love Football a bit more..!! Desean jackson call me love <3 haha!!
