NOW THAT DRAKE WENT PLATINUM, IN A FAILING ECONOMY, CAN WE SAY HE LIVED UP TO THE HYPE?

Young Money rapper Drake’S debut album “ThanK Me Later” finally went platinum.  There was a lot of pressure for his album to sell because of all the hype surrounding his mixtapes.

Now that we can officially say Drake is selling records, does that mean he’s in the same category as Lil Wayne, TI, Kanye – etc?  Is it safe to say that the Young Money rapper is as good as his boss – Lil Wayne?

Personally, I think Drake makes good music, but it might take some time before we can put him in the same category as Biggie & Jay Z.
