Martin and Shamicka Divorcing after 2 Years of Marriage
Martin Lawrence and wife Shamicka decided to call it quits after two years of marriage. The divorce came as a shock to the public because the couple dated for 15 years before they married in 2010.
Martin’s publicist confirmed the divorce on Tuesday. “Martin and Shamicka Lawrence have decided to divorce,” Martin’s rep told People.com. “The couple has made the joint decision to part ways.”
In a statement released to PEOPLE the couple said, “Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together.”
