An elderly man in Britain lost his car in a parking lot May 2008, he just found it, 2 years later.
Gerald Santuary (age 80) parked his car in a parking garage then walked into a pharmacy. When Gerald was finished shopping he walked out to the parking deck where he parked his car, but couldn’t find it. After a long search of the lot Gerald thought his car was stolen and gave up the search. Gerald’s kids came back to the lot later that day but couldn’t find the vehicle.
During the Christmas holidays a parking attendant, Charlene Lewis (age 29), noticed the car was unusually dirty. After 2 years of looking at the car the attendant finally called the police, and the authorities connected the car with its owner – Gerald Sanctuary.
Geralds kids put the keys in the car and realized it worked perfectly. One of his daughters plans to keep the car because – unfortunately, Gerald is suffering from dementia and resides in St Christopher’s Nursing Home in Hatfield, UK.
