Sources say Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj is in talks to join the judges panel on American Idol. With Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler’s departure making headlines over the summer Nicki might be the best solution.

Joining Mariah Carey, Team Minaj brings a young urban audience the popular show needs to keep its high ratings. Idol finished its 11th season (2011-2012) as the country’s most popular non-football program.
