Hope Solo Accuses Maksim Chmerkiovskiy Of Physical Abuse
Standing at 5 ft 9 inches tall you would think someone could be a bit intimidated by Hope Solo’s strong feminine physique but apparently not. In recent reports the world-famous goalkeeper accused her former dance partner Maksim Chmerkiovskiy of being physically abusive, hindering her from excelling last year on Dancing With The Stars.
In Hope’s new book (Solo: A Memoir of Hope) the 31-year-old athlete said, “he manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went – how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse.”
Abusive behavior rarely declines, it’s a personality trait that always increases. Hope said the violence reached its peak when Chmerkiovskiy slapped her in the face hard enough to make her ears ring.
“My ear was ringing as I walked out, shaking,” she explained. “I had just been hit, and I had been worried about how I would come off looking on television.”
Maksim responded to Hope’s accusations on twitter writing, “Always hated hypocrites and liars… but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense…” In another tweet he continued to say, “Life’s best lessons are the ones that you smile through…..while they hurt you the most! I’m bullet proof….FIRE AWAY!”
