No matter how big an artist becomes or how much money the have backing them, no one can compete with the wrath of the Internet hackers.
Beyoncé Knowles newest album “4″ leaked on the Internet this week and sent the record label in a frenzy. The album (entitled “4″) is due in stores June 28, 2011. Beyoncé and her organization spent millions of dollars recording the new album and now the world famous bootleggers have their hands on it.
After the album leaked Beyoncé made a few statements to her fans and the public via her facebook page…
“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”
At least Beyoncé has a positive outlook on the situation. It always amazes me when artist in the twentieth century get surprised when their album leaks. I understand being upset, but there’s nothing you can do about it.
