Beyonce has Golden Australian Fly Named After Her
Beyonce may or may not like this but, a rare species of horse fly with a unique golden bottom (ass) has been named “Beyonceae” in her honor.
Australian Entomologist Bryan Lessard says, “They (the insects) have a strong presences, they’re glamorous… She joins the ranks of Charles Darwin, Bram Stoker and Spongebob Squarepants all to have species named after them.”
The official name of the fly with a gold butt is Scaptia (Plinthina) Beyonceae. Beyonce has not yet commented on having a fly named in her honor.
