Woman Arrested for Trying to Find ‘Mary Jane’ on Craigslist

29-year-old Anamicka Dave placed an ad in the Casual Encounters section on Craigslist in New Mexico. The ad said she was “looking for Mary Jane.”

Sergeant Ty Sharpe from Roswell PD said the ad was so blatant he thought it came from another undercover agent. Sharpe told the media; “I was really surprised that someone would actually put on there they were looking for weed – an actually illegal product – to the fact that I called my boss to make sure it wasn’t one of our guys trying to do a reverse sting.

Roswell authorities posed as sellers and set the woman up. Anamicka met the undercover dealers in the parking lot, thinking she scored from Craigslist. The police arrested her when she attempted to make the purchase.
